The new outfit for the male football team in Cameroon has been officially exposed to the public in the presence of some football leaders and members in the capital city of the country, Yaounde.
The unveiling ceremony took place on 19 June at the Hilton Hotel in Yaounde. Some football leaders graced the event with their presence like the president of Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT), Seidou Mbombo Njoya, members of the executive committee of Fecafoot and some representatives of Le Coq Sportif.
The new sportswear has been manufactured in red and green bearing the logo of FECAFOOT, logo of Coq Sportif and a lion at the middle to represent Cameroon’s brand name. Five stars have also been placed on the attire to symbolize the 5 continental trophies that the indomitable lions have won so far.
During the event, Seidou Mbombo Njoya revealed that the final contract between Fecafoot and Le Coq Sportif will be signed by July ending. He also disclosed that Cameroon received this outfit due to a memorandum of understanding signed between these two companies.
It was stated in the occasion that Le Coq Sportif will thereby supply all national teams with sport attires in the country for a period of 4 years. This was mentioned when Mbombo Njoya revealed that the terms of their contract is similar to that FECAFOOT had with Puma.
It should be noted that the “Indomitable Lionesses” had their new sportswear from Le Coq Sportif which was unveiled on the 7 on this month in France to commence the women’s world cup.
