So mysterious, so magical, and so wonderful! Nobody could have imagined one of the most unbelievable wonders in football would happen at this time in the ongoing afcon tournament in Egypt. Ladies and gentlemen “Les Écureilles” ( The Squirrels) of Benin have shown that they are  really coming from a country full of magical wonders.

Over 99% of football fans bet the defeat of Benin facing Morocco, but the match of this afternoon proved otherwise and the Squirrels made history.

Even if the men of Michel Dussuyer started by defending, they have been the ones who scored at the 53rd minute after a  corner shot by the captain Sessegnon; that goal really injured the man Hervé Renard who tried dozens of times to equalize but in vain with so many missed opportunities in the surface such as this face to face of Saiss who fell down alone.  One can also remember that chest control of M’barak Boussoufa in the surface who fell down without even being touched, what a mystery!

It was in the 75th minute that the Moroccans strongly reacted; on a defensive mistake coming from Jordan Adeoti, Belhanda took advantage and equalized. Both teams continued the game with so many yellow cards while  Adenon scooped the red card from the Angolan referee during the extra time. But that red card would change nothing.

The session of shot goals has been the moment during which we found the winner of this first last sixteen confrontation. Four shoots against two that has been the results of this session, Benin then won the mysterious match.

The other match of the day has been the Senegalese victory over Uganda one nill (1-0) with the missed penalty of the Liverpool’s forward Sadio Mane, but this victory can be explained when one knows that the Ugandan players boycotted two days of training claiming their money be paid, they also complained about inadequate WI-FI in their hotel.
