A ghastly accident in Cortese, Limburg province of Belgium, saw the untimely deaths of five people in the early hours of Saturday, July 6, 2019. Amongst these 5 people was Cameroonian born Belgian footballer Mo Nitcheu. The five of them boarded a car which struck the front of the cafes at the Dorpsstraat and Tongersesteenweg intersection in Cortese, the prosecutor’s office in Limburg.
Mo Nitcheu, was a player of the A-national team of the football club STVV from Sint Truiden.
“With deep sadness, we say goodbye to one of our promising players, Mo Nitcheu,” said the club on their Twitter page. “From the STVV family, we wish the family and friends of Mo a lot of strength with this big loss.”
Mohammed Sadjo Nitcheu was born in Douala, economic capital of Cameroon on September 24, 1999. He was only 19 years old at his death. He played centre-forward. Internationally, he played for the Cameroonian U23 team.
He leaves the entire nation of Cameroon, the football world and especially his young fans who look up to him in a state of grief. May his soul rest in perfect peace.
