Fast approaching is the second most celebrated festivals among Christians; Easter but unfortunately, this year’s festivity is likely to be called off totally as government has called on citizens to avoid public places as well as avoid crowds of more than 25.
This is a huge blow to Christians and Ghanaians as a whole taking into consideration the number of activities that go on during this period and how much business owners make in this period.
Easter Celebrations in Ghana is highly popular because of the fun that goes on in the Eastern region of the Country. Most patronized amongst these activities is the most daring Paragliding which takes place on one of the high peaks in Kwahu.
Ghanaians are very dissatisfied as the Kwahu traditional Council has released a statement that states emphatically that “The annual Kwahu Easter and all activities have been called off”. This is as a result of the confirmation of 137 positive cases of the pandemic COVID-19 otherwise called Corona Virus in Ghana.
