ZIMBABWE: LACK OF TESTS SPARKS FEAR COVID-19 GOES UNDETECTED

Health professionals in Zimbabwe have sounded the alarm over the country’s limited capacity to test people for the new coronavirus, warning that a lack of critical equipment and infrastructure shortages may result in many cases being undetected.

The country – which has only one COVID-19 test centre, in the capital, Harare – has confirmed 11 cases, including three deaths after testing only 392 people for COVID-19.
