Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari has died after contracting the deadly coronavirus, the Nigerian Presidency declared on Saturday April 18.

Meanwhile, Femi Adesina, Special Adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari on Media and Publicity earlier announced it in a tweet at 11:44 pm Friday April, 17.

He tweeted, “Chief of Staff to the President, Mallam Abba Kyari, has died. May Allah forgive his shortcomings and grant him the highest rank of Jannah. Allah ya jikan sa”.

On March 24, 2020, the former Chief of Staff who is in his 70s tested positive for coronavirus. Days after, the presidency announced that Kyari was responding to treatment following speculations about his whereabouts.

This begs some questions:

1. Where was he managed before his eventual death?

2. Did he die from complications of the Coronavirus or he recovered from it only to killed by something else?

3. Another interesting thing is that one of Nigeria’s most controversial journalist Madam Kemi Olunloyo tweeted about a high profile death in Aso rock days back.

4. His also brings up the question “Did he die long ago and the government decide to hide it?”

It is no longer news that the Nigerian government is never straight forward with its citizens.
