Star Ghanaian Kumawood actor, Bernard Kwame Nyarko, popularly known in the movie circles as Bishop, has died.
His elder brother, who has been living in the UK, confirms in a video posted on Akumaa Mama Zimbi’s Instagram (akumaamamazimbi) page, Sunday.
The celebrated actor gave up the ghost at the Greater Accra Regional Hospital in Accra on Saturday, May 2, 2020 after enduring colon cancer for a long time, his brother explains.
The news of Bishop’s demise came as a big shock to Ghanaians and the Ghanaian home-made movie lovers.
Just like his admirers, some Ghanaian celebrities have taken to their social media handles to pay tributes to the deceased and his bereaved family.
Actors Prince David Osei, Nana Ama McBrown, Vivian Jill Lawrence, Kojo Nkansah a.k.a Lil Win, Yvonne Nelson, Kwaku Manu, Lydia Forson, John Dumelo, Christiana Awuni, Yaw Dabo, Akyere Bruwaa, Mercy Asiedu, Abena Ghana, Ellen Kyei White, Tracey Boakye, Xandy Kamel, Kalybos, Vivian Jill Lawrence, Berima Bediide, Oteele among others have expressed their condolences on facebook, twitter and Instagram.
