2020 New Juabeng South Parliamentary Candidate of National Democratic Congress (NDC) Martin Otu Offei is poised to wrestle the seat from New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the crucial 2020 polls as he has warned his competitors not to be overly ambitious.
The 2020 battle line for the New Juabeng South seat is clearly drawn between the CEO of the Ghana Free Zones Authority and NPP’s Michael Okyere Baafi and NDC’s Martin Otu Offei.
According to Otu Offei, he will hold grounds against his key competitor Michael Baafi because the constituents have already realized and acknowledged that he has their interests at hearts.
Speaking to Africa Nakua ‘s Jerry Akornor on Tuesday October 20, 2020, the Koforidua Technical University ICT Lecturer said he intends to set up MP’s office in the constituency for constituents to ventilate their grievances if elected.
“Within the next hundred days upon assumption of power as a Member of parliament, I will set up office of the MP in the constituency so they can relate with me in that office”.
He told Africa Nakua that “My confidence is coming from the voters I have interacted with and they are giving me hope that they will vote for me”.
Martin Otu Offei has also promised to train twelve thousand (12,000) young people in ICT, offer them laptops and award them projects coupled with training additional 15,000 young people in structured apprenticeship known as TVET as clearly spelt out in the NDC’s People’s Manifesto by H. E John Dramani Mahama.
“I will train and give 15,000 young people and give them skills needed to work and 12,000 young people in ICT with free laptops to work, Ghanaian young people are smart and when given such training, they’ll excel”.
With exactly forty-eight (46) days to the December, 7 crucial polls, the Koforidua Technical University Lecturer Martin Otu Offei is promising leadership with empathy and passion for service in a bid to capture the New Juabeng South seat as against his key competitor and Ghana Free Zones Authority CEO Michael Okyere Baafi who is confident that the seat is a stronghold of the governing party NPP that must be retained.
Michael Okyere Baafi intends to hold grounds against his competitor Martin Otu Offei on December 7 after winning the NPP parliamentary slot from the incumbent MP.
